Wayne Lawrence Jr picked up three wins at the Division 2 Region 8 - Piqua meet.
The Division 2 Region 8 - Piqua meet took place at Piqua High School and MileSplit Ohio was in attendance to cover the track and field action. The athletes were vying for invites to the OHSAA State Track and Field Championship which takes place at the Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium on the campus of Ohio State University. The top four finishers in each event gain eligibility to participate in this prestigious meet.
Meadowdale High School's Wayne Lawrence Jr posted stellar results at the Division 2 Region 8 - Piqua meet. Lawrence Jr won the 100m, 200m and 400m races in times of 10.75, 21.50 and 47.15 respectively. Wayne Lawrence Jr's 400m result is the fastest time produced in Ohio this season and it represents a U.S. tie for #32. This dynamic sprinter appears ready to contend for state titles in Columbus.

Dunbar's Marquis Evans won the 800m race in an Ohio #35 time of 1:55.68 and Jack Dalton of Chaminade Julienne High School took the win in the 1600m race with his 4:24.01 effort. Badin's Josh Wolpert finished 1st in the 3200m event with his 9:53.48 result.

Jalani Allen of Dunbar High School won the 110m hurdles race in a time of 15.18 and Zach Klosterman of Coldwater High School claimed the 300m hurdles win with his 39.44 result.

In team relay action, Dunbar High School won the 4 x 100m with their time of 43.21 and Norwood High School finished 1st in the 4 x 200m with their 1:30.16 result.

Anna Podojil of Indian Hill High School collected three wins at the Division 2 Region 8 - Piqua meet. Podojil took 1st place in the 100m, 200m and 400m races with times of 12.15, 24.50 and 56.14 respectively. Anna Podojil's 200m result represents an Ohio #4 and her 400m effort is the 11th ranked time in the state for the outdoor season.

Greeneview's Ocean Morris won the 800m race with her time of 2:17.00 and Ashleigh Prugh of Indian Hill High School took the 1600m win with her 5:11.32 result. Monroe's Alayna Garver finished 1st in the 3200m event with her 11:18.89 effort.
