Congratulations to Westlake's Emma Jaros and Mayfield's Val Sague on their strong showings at last weekend's Mentor Invitational (Cardinal Classic) which was held at Mentor High School in Lake County.
Jaros finished 9th with her time of 19:32.70 and Sague took 11th place with her 19:44.60 effort. Jaros' result represents a new PR, a 32 second improvement over her first race this season and an Ohio #10 for freshmen while Sague's time is 18 seconds faster than her high school XC debut, a new PR and an Ohio #21 for 2021 grads.
Expect continued progress this season from these two freshmen athletes!
