Monroe High School's Marty Zumbiel finished 3rd at last weekend's Mason Invitational.
Congratulations to Monroe High School's Marty Zumbiel on his recent performance at the 2017 Mason Invitational. Zumbiel took 3rd place in the Section 2 Varsity race with his time of 17:03.20. Zumbiel was the second Monroe athlete and the first freshman to cross the line. His teammate, Christian Leach finished 1st with his 16:44.00 result. Marty Zumbiel has raced four times to this point in the 2017 XC season and his latest effort is a PR by 18 seconds. His previous season's best was 17:21.70 at the Bob Schul Invitational in August. Zumbiel's time at the Mason Invitational represents an Ohio #21 for freshmen and his continued improvement this season suggests that the best is yet to come for this Monroe athlete!
