Congratulations to Buckeye Valley's Zach Kreft on his incredible performance at the Midwest Meet of Champions! Kreft took 1st place in the championship race with his Ohio #1 and U.S. #1 time of 14:29.95!
Kreft ran the majority of the race with Lakota East's Dustin Horter before pulling away late to secure the victory. This result eclipses Kreft's previous PR by 35 seconds and it also represents an Ohio #1 All-Time! Watkins Memorial's Andrew Jordan was the former record holder from his 14:44.70 effort at the Galion Cross Country Festival in 2015. Zach Kreft's PR heading into the Midwest Meet of Champions was a 15:04.80 result from earlier in September. Kreft has now recorded 4 wins in 5 race starts this season.
