Dawson secured the race win with her Ohio #2 and U.S. #18 time of 17:26.06. Her result also represents an Ohio #1 and U.S. #1 for freshmen, a new PR and an Ohio #9 All-Time!
Chloe Dawson had a strong lead pack to work with at the Midwest Meet of Champions, as she was one of four athletes to run under 17:40. Dawson finished 8 seconds ahead of the 2nd place finisher and this is the 5th race win of the season for the Buckeye Valley freshman!
