Congratulations to Turpin's Samantha Bush and Olentangy Orange's Allison Guagenti on their terrific performances at last weekend's Midwest Meet of Champions.
Bush and Guagenti were the top two junior performers and they were two of five athletes who ran under the 18 minute standard. Samantha Bush claimed 3rd place with her 17:36.18 effort and Allison Guagenti was close behind, as she took 4th position in a time of 17:38.71. Bush's result represents an Ohio #7 and a U.S. #36 and Guagenti is now ranked 9th in Ohio and 45th in the country. Additionally, among junior athletes, Bush is ranked 2nd in Ohio and 10th in the U.S. while Guagenti is 4th in the state and 16th in the nation.
Samantha Bush's effort represents a new PR and Allison Guagenti's result is a season's best time. Again, congratulations to both athletes!
