Grand Valley's Grace Steimle Commits To The University Of Toledo

Grand Valley's Grace Steimle will compete for the University of Toledo.

The University of Toledo Rockets have bolstered their incoming freshmen class for cross country and track with the addition of Grand Valley distance runner, Grace Steimle.

Steimle has had an excellent cross country season to date, as she's recorded six race wins and eight top 5 finishes in nine starts.  Steimle currently resides in 25th place in the state rankings for senior athletes from her 18:43.00 effort at September's Cardinal Invitational and she's run under 19 minutes on three occasions in 2017.

On the track, Grace Steimle's key events are the 1600m and 3200m where she holds impressive PR's of 5:13.66 (outdoor) and 11:31.58 (indoor).  Steimle can draw on her big meet experience when she arrives on the University of Toledo's campus, as she's competed at the Ohio state indooroutdoor and cross country championships and the MileSplit Scholastic Showcase at SPIRE during her high school career.

Best wishes to Grace Steimle for continued success at the University of Toledo next year!

Grace Steimle will aim for a strong finish to her high school cross country and track seasons.
