Performance Spotlight: Josh Hill - Amherst Steele

Amherst Steele's Josh Hill will look to continue his impressive season at State's.

Amherst Steele's Josh Hill has put together an excellent cross country season to date, as the junior has recorded four wins and three runner-up finishes in his eight race starts.  Along with his 1st and 2nd place finishes, Hill took 5th overall at the talent-rich OHSAA Early Season Invitational in August.  In Hill's most recent outing, he established a new PR with his 15:49.49 effort at the OHSAA Boardman Region meet.  This time represents an Ohio #46 (overall), an Ohio #11 for junior athletes and a 39 second improvement from his result at the 2016 OHSAA Boardman Region meet.

Amherst Steele's coach, Rob Glatz, had this to say about Josh Hill's development as a runner:

"Josh has dramatically improved over the course of his career.  His training has been phenomenal of late and he truly loves running.  Big things are in store for him!"

Look out for Amherst Steele's Josh Hill at this weekend'd D1 Ohio State Championship!

Josh Hill also competes in indoor track, where he holds a 3200m PR of 9:21.69.
