Austintown Fitch's Lauren Dolak will compete for Youngstown State University next year.
Congratulations to Austintown Fitch High School's Lauren Dolak on the news that she'll be competing for Youngstown State University next year!
Dolak has enjoyed success in events ranging from the 400m to the 3200m, but her specialty on the track is the 800m where she holds an impressive PR of 2:12.29 (outdoor). Dolak finished 6th in the 800m at both the 2017 DI OATCCC Indoor State Championship and the DI OHSAA State Track and Field Championship.
MileSplit Ohio reached Austintown Fitch distance coach, Bob Lape regarding this exciting news and he had this to share about his athlete:
"Lauren is a talented young lady who works hard year round. She sets goals all season and stays focused and trains hard to reach those goals. She is a dedicated athlete who puts in a lot of extra time and miles and does whatever is asked of her. Lauren is also a strong teammate by running in any event needed to help our team be successful. She is able to double and triple in meets and perform at a high level. She also has great range and can run strong times in the 400 up to the 1600."
Good luck to Lauren for continued success at Youngstown State University!
Lauren Dolak took 6th place at the Ohio Indoor and Outdoor State Championships last year.
