Dustin Horter is the 2017 MileSplit Ohio Cross Country Performer of the Year.
Dustin Horter took a resounding win in the MileSplit Ohio 'Performer of the Year' contest. The Lakota East athlete won the poll by securing 69.41% of the votes (2, 158 total).
Horter had an outstanding cross country season that included winning the DI Ohio State Championship and finishing 6th at Nike Cross Nationals in Portland where he raced against the best runners from throughout the country. Horter, who will compete for Indiana University next year, finished the season as the 3rd ranked 5K athlete in the nation from his 14:36.77 effort at September's Midwest Meet of Champions.
