Marshal Stewart narrowly edged Jakob McConnell to win the 800m event in arguably the evening's most exciting race finish. Stewart's time was 2:07.60 and runner-up, McConnell recorded a 2:08.20 result.
Marshal Stewart set a new indoor pr in the 800m event at the Buckeye Division #2 meet.
Jonathan McKnight won the 400m race with his 51.92 effort. This result represents an Ohio #14 and a new indoor pr for the Chardon junior.
Logan Esper continued his winning ways with a 1st place performance in the 1600m race. Esper, who won the 800m event at Meet #1, earned the win with his time of 4:30.71.
John Steimle (trailing Chardon's Nate Kawalec) / Maple Leaf Track Club
John Steimle took the 3200m win with his time of 9:52.35. Steimle benefited from running the majority of the race with 2nd place finisher, Nate Kawalec. Kawalec, who was in the 1600m field earlier in the evening, posted a time of 9:58.95.
Mentor High School / 4 x 800m Relay Team
Mentor secured the 4 x 800m win with their 8:22.62 team effort. This result represents an Ohio #2 for the 2018 indoor season.
