Del'Mario Hairston / Lake Catholic
Hairston, who won the long jump event at the 2017 New Balance Nationals Indoor meet (Emerging Elite Division), jumped 23-8 to set a new all-time best mark at SPIRE on route to winning the D1 competition. The record had belonged to Pennsylvania's Richard Rouse. Rouse jumped 23-2.25 at a SPIRE hosted meet in 2011.
Olentangy Orange 4 x 800m Relay Team
The quartet of Andrew Schroff, Tommy Wintering, Alex Kenish and Tyler King posted an outstanding time of 7:47.47 on their way to winning the D1 4 x 800m relay. Their effort represents a new SPIRE record. Olentangy Orange's result tops the 7:58.12 effort by Medina at the 2018 Showcase.
Hilliard Davidson 4 x 800m Relay Team
Lindsay Stull, Sophie Lewis, Ellie Tighe and Meghan Sculli recorded a time of 9:03.73 to win the D1 4 x 800m relay. Hilliard Davidson's result is a new all-time state record and it lowed the previous facility's best time by nine seconds. Breen Track Club (MI) had the distinction of owning the SPIRE record due to their 9:15.54 result at the 2018 Showcase and Gahanna Lincoln held the previous state record (9:17.57 in 2016).
