Dustin Horter ran a US No. 1 time of 8:48 to win the 3200m race at the Eastern Relays.
What a performance by Dustin Horter! The Lakota East senior out-paced an incredibly deep field at the Eastern Relays and won the 3200m race in a US No. 1 time of 8:48. Horter led a group of five runners who broke the elusive nine minute barrier. This group included Ohioans, Chad Johnson (Colonel Crawford / 3rd place), Zach Kreft (Buckeye Valley / 4th place) and Matt Scrape (Pickerington Central / 5th place). Horter's result represents his second straight 3200m win at the Eastern Relays, as well as a new pr. He won last year's contest in a time of 8:56.62.
