Middle school athlete, Savannah Dennison took the high school division win at this past weekend's Guardian Mile due to her impressive 5:13.64 effort. The eighth grader, who attends Memorial in Mentor, outpaced a strong field of runners from many of the top programs in Northeast Ohio.
Due to dominating her same-age opposition in cross country and track, Dennison often hits the road racing scene to seek challenges. She's also been a regular at the NEOITC Indoor Series, where she's collected a number of race wins while representing the Bill Dennison coached Mentor Cardinals.
