A.J. Haffa made it a repeat at Monday's War on the Shore meet, which was hosted by Lakeside-Ashtabula.
The Riverside-Painesville athlete negotiated the incredibly challenging route and took an emphatic victory with his time of 17:33.57. The race's runner-up crossed the line over a minute after Haffa.
Haffa, who won last year's War on the Shore in 18:06.90, indicated that this is just the start to the season that he was seeking. The senior has big goals for the cross country campaign, which include recording fast times and being competitive with the Region's elite runners. He owns an impressive pr of 16:18.64.
