Ursuline Academy junior Hannah Doerger not only battled the adversity of unfavorable running conditions at Saturday's Mason Invitational, but she also had to come back from a fairly significant fall into a large pool of water. And come back she did - Doerger picked herself up and went on to record her second win of the season. This one in 18:56.30.
Doerger continues to improve as the schedule unfolds; she went 19:26.40 for third place at the Moeller 'Primetime' Invitational in her debut and she followed that up with a 19:02.99 first place effort at last weekend's Duel at the DeWine's vs. Olentangy Orange.
Doerger has competed at the 2016 and 2017 DI State Championship meets and she owns a 5K pr of 18:17.30.
