Simon Heys posted a time of 16:45.20 to take fifteenth place in the highly competitive Varsity Section I race at this past weekend's Mason Invitational.
The Wilmington athlete's season is highligted by his 16:19.70 first place effort at the Finish Timing XC Classic on August 25th. That result stations him at number thirty-three in the state's senior class rankings.
Heys, who competed at the 2017 Division I State Championship meet, owns a pr of 16:19.35, which he achieved during his junior year.
