Miranda Stanhope acquired the lead in Saturday's DIII race during the final stretch and sprinted in for the victory in 18:51.60.

The Badger junior's win marked her seventh on the season - like many others who competed at the State Championship meet, Stanhope made a quick turnaround and raced at NXR in Indiana the following day. There, she established a new pr of 18:08.10 on her way to a sixteenth place finish.
