No. 3 Ranked Nick Foster Picks Michigan

The University of Michigan scored one of the nation's top distance recruits on Wednesday.

Ann Arbor Pioneer (MI) High School senior Nick Foster officially signed with the Wolverines on the first day of the National Letter of Intent period, adding to a class that already includes Tommy Brady, Thomas Shilgalis and Ben Jacobs

But Foster is in elite company.

The prep was elite over the outdoor season, where he scored PRs of 1:53.38 in the 800m, 4:08.16 in the 1600m and 8:54.80 in the 3200m. Foster also produced a time of 4:05.50 in the full mile and 8:59.46 in the full two mile.

Foster's indoor credentials are solid, with a 1600m PR of 4:12.89 and a 3200m best of 9:06.45.

Foster isn't just a track standout, though.

The Michigan runner is a national class cross country athlete who's split a career best of 15:03.10 on grass and who won his second straight Michigan LP Division I championship this season.
