Team Ohio's Jacob Harris, Ben Burkett and Samuel Logan led their squad to a third place finish at the Mid-East Cross Country Championships, which were held on Saturday at Kettering's Indian Riffle Park. Their 63 points trailed Michigan (32 points) and Indiana (43 points) and landed them ahead of fourth place Illinois, who posted 104 points. Ohio's scorers produced a 1-5 split of 23 seconds and they averaged a 16:15 finishing time.
Harris of Whitmer went 16:06.50 for fifth place in the individual standings and Centerville's Burkett was the second Ohioan to cross the line. He finished twelfth due to his 16:13.30 clocking. Immediately following Burkett was Shelby's Logan, who went 16:14.00 for thirteenth.
