Athletes from throughout the state made their way to Kenosha for Saturday's Foot Locker Midwest Regional, where they were met by a course that offered unique challenges. The day was far warmer than is typical for late November in Wisconsin, but the real factor in play was the wet, muddy terrain. The conditions led to pedestrian finishing times, considering the elites who made up the seeded fields, but on this day it was all about acquiring a top ten placement and with it the right to line-up at Foot Locker Nationals in San Diego on December 8th.
Among Ohio's entries were a qualifier and a few near misses. Taylor Ewert kept her exceptional season rolling with a runner-up finish. The DI State Champion, who took third place at NXR Midwest, crossed the line in 18:08.90 and made herself eligible for nationals.
