Bowling Green State University track and field/cross country head coach Cami Wells announced her entire 2009-10 recruiting class for the track & field program, as well as the women's cross country team this afternoon.

Shyniqua Allen, Sprints/Hurdles, Westerville, Ohio (Westerville Central)
High School: Is a 2009 graduate of Westerville Central High School … has run 7.42 for 55m, 7.96 for 60m, 12.2 for 100m, 25.5 for 200m, 15.44 for the 100m hurdles, and 47.15 for the 300m hurdles … 2009 Division I Ohio State Meet qualifier in the 100m, a member of the 7th place 4 X 100m relay team, 2009 Indoor State Meet member of the third place 4 X 200m relay team ... 2008 Division I Ohio State Meet a member of the 7th place 4 X 100m relay team … holds three school records in the 100m hurdles, 300m hurdles and the 100m dash … named Team MVP in 2009, scoring over 150 points during the season. “Shyniqua caught my attention early during the indoor season with her versatility in the hurdles and sprints. Shy has only been a true sprinter for one season and made it to the Ohio Division I State Meet in the 100 meters, 4x100, and 4x200m relays. Shy has tons of potential in the short sprints and short hurdle races, areas in which we are adding more depth.”-assistant coach Jody Stewart

Kristin Boettcher, Throws, Krummerfield, Germany, (Gesamtschule - Alter – Teichweg)
High School: Is a 2009 graduate of Gesamtschule - Alter – Teichweg High School … has thrown a personal best of 178-8 in the hammer … finished second at the 2009 Northern German Track and Field Championship in the hammer … finished fourth at the 2008 German National Track and Field Championship in the winter and summer meets in the hammer … finished first at the 2008 Northern German Track and Field Championship in the hammer … finished fourth at the 2007 German National Track and Field Championship in the hammer. Janelle Campbell, Sprints, Beaver Falls, Penn. (Blackhawk)
High School: Is a 2009 graduate of Blackhawk High School  ... set personal-bests in the long jump (18-2.25), triple jump (36-02) and 200-meters (25.90) as a junior ... was a 2007 USATF National Finalist in the triple jump ... finished second at Regionals in the triple jump and fourth in the long jump ... in 2008 she was a PIAA finalist in the long jump, where she placed seventh ... was a USATF National Junior Olympic finalist in the long jump, finishing second ... also lettered in basketball and cheerleading. High School: Is a 2009 graduate of Piqua High School … has thrown personal bests of 40-00 in the 20lb weight and 117-06 in the hammer throw …  finished fourth at the 2009 Indoor Ohio State Championships in the weight throw … finished third at the 2008 Ohio Indoor State Track & Field Championships in the weight throw … also lettered in soccer … coached by Liz Mangen. High School: Is a 2009 graduate of Versailles High School … has run a personal best of 2:15 in the  800m and 19:58 for the 5K in cross country … finished third at the 2009 DIII Ohio State Track Meet in the 800m … was a member of the state champion 4 X 800m relay team … her track team finished second overall in DIII … 2008 DIII Ohio State Track Meet member of the second-place 4 X 800m relay team … 2007 Ohio State Track Meet member of the second-place 4 X 800m relay team … 2007 Ohio State Cross Country Meet member of the DIII State Championship Team … holds the school, conference, and district records in the 800m … earned All-Ohio Academic honors … named track team MVP in 2007 & 2009…coached by Mike Goubeaoux. Tatijana Jacobson, High Jump/Sprints, Woodmore High School, Woodville, Ohio
 High School: Is a 2009 graduate of Woodmore High School … has jumped a personal best of 5-04 in the high jump … has run a personal best of 60.50 for the 400m … finished seventh at the 2009 Division III State Meet in the high jump … finished ninth at the 2008 Division III State Meet in the high jump … 2008 regional champion in the high jump … three-time district champion in the high jump … coached by Mike Moreno and Bowling Green track and cross country alum, Dave Anderson. Personal: Born January 2, 1991 … daughter of Anders and Cori Jacobson … has three brothers, Christopher, Noah and Ian.

“Tatijana is probably one of the most versatile athletes in this recruiting class. Tatijana was third at the 2009 indoor state meet in the high jump and placed seventh at the 2009 outdoor state meet. Tatijana has run every event from the 800 meters and down and has had great success. Felicia Jefferson, Sprints, Ypsilanti, Michigan (Lincoln) High School

High School: Is a 2009 graduate of Stow High School .... has run personal bests of 5:12 for 1600m, 11:02 for the 3200m in track and 18:14 in the 5000m in cross country ... holds four school records for the 1600m, 3200m, 5000m and as a member of the 4 X 800m relay team that ran 9:20 ... coached by John Roseman and Aaron Morris ... placed 8th in the 2008 Division I Ohio State Cross Country Meet ... was runner-up in 2008 Tiffin Regional Cross Country Meet ... placed ninth in the 3200m at the 2008 Division I Ohio State Track & Field Meet ... placed 10th in the 2007 Division I Ohio State Cross Country Meet ... placed 11th in the 3200m at the 2007 Ohio State Track & Field Meet ... placed 14th at the 2006 Ohio State Cross Country Meet. Abby has been consistent and put up very impressive stats during her high school career. Adding Abby to the team really solidifies the cross country roster for the fall and I expect her to be able to come in and have an immediate impact in the long distance events on the track as well. High School: Is a 2009 graduate of  Wynford High School ... has personal-bests of 143-05 in the discus and 38-10 in the shot put ... was the 2008 District Champion in the discus ... finished eighth at Districts in the shot put ... helped lead her team to back-to-back NCC Championships ... team captain ... in 2007 she was her conference champion in both the discus and shot put ... that same year she captured the District Championship in the discus ... finished fourth at State in same event ... also lettered in basketball. Personal: Born Nov. 17, 1990 ... daughter of Duane and Robin McCombs ... has two brothers (Nathan, Nick) and one sister (Whitney) ... plans to major in nursing.

"I am looking forward to coaching Brooke, she is a well rounded student-athlete with a great personality," said assistant coach Justin Carvalho. "Brooke is an established discus thrower who will solidify our discus group. I am also confident that she will be able to excel in the hammer and the weight as well as the shot put, and in time develop in to a multiple event scorer."

Jeanette Pettigrew, Sprints/Jumps, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio (Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy)
