Michael Shoaf put a pair of impressive performances together on Saturday at the Ohio Preview Meet, hosted by SPIRE.
The Rocky River senior, and Fighting Irish commit, captured wins in the weight throw and shot put events. His 69-5 mark in the weight throw stands as a pr and an Ohio tie for #1 with Hilliard Darby's Chris Burkhart. In addition to sharing the top position in Ohio, Shoaf and Burkhart reside at #6 nation-wide.
Shoaf's winning toss in the shot put competition was 58-10.5. He's the state leader from a previous effort this season (62-1.75 at the Youngstown State Open).
