EUGENE, Oregon - Cedarville freshman Justin Hoffman was clocked in 13.97 seconds, but narrowly missed advancing in the 110 meter hurdles at the USA Junior Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Only the top eight qualifiers advance to the finals and Hoffman was 9th overall. The Chillicothe, Ohio native was just 0.21 seconds out of a finals spot.
A total of 20 athletes spread across three heats competed in the event. Hoffman's time was 0.34 faster than the 14.31 school-record mark he set earlier this spring.
