Kaylyn Heath started her season off strong at Tiffin in December and she never looked back.
The polls have closed and the votes have been tallied -- following their exceptional 2019 campaigns, Kaylyn Heath and Nolan Landis have been named MileSplit Ohio's Indoor Performers of the Year.
Heath was the Division 1 state champion in the 60 and the runner-up in the 200 due to her personal record times of 7.48 and 24.69. The Ohio State bound senior helped guide her Lakota East squad to the team title at State's and she also had strong showings at two of the region's top invitationals, the VA Showcase and the SPIRE Showcase.
Landis racked up the shot put wins at a rapid pace this past season. The Madison senior earned victories in his first eight meets and then complemented those accolades with a second place effort at D1 State's and a fourth place performance at New Balance Nationals, where he established a new personal best throw of 61-1.25.
In recognition of their achievements, both athletes will receive a MileSplit ball cap. Thank you to everyone who voted and congratulations to Kaylyn and Nolan!
Indiana University commit, Nolan Landis took his throwing game to another level this year.
