CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Yellow Jackets check in at #12 in the 2009 NAIA Men's Cross Country Top 25 Pre-season Coaches' Poll.
Cedarville, who finished 19th in the country last fall, recorded a total of 324 points. The Jackets are the second-highest rated team among American Mideast Conference schools.
Two-time defending national champion Malone is again #1 earning 18-of-20 first-place votes and 559 points. Shawnee State is #18 with 250 points.
Aquinas (Mich.) is ranked #2. Completing the top five are Embry-Riddle (Fla.), Simon Fraser (B.C.), and Concordia (Neb.).
The Yellow Jackets begin the 2009 campaign at the Queen City Invitational in Cincinnati on Sept. 12.
