Team Ohio Assembles Deep Squad For Midwest Meet Of Champions


Sprints 

Future Ohio State Buckeye, Kaylyn Heath will line-up in Saturday's 100m contest. The recent Lakota East grad enjoyed a fantastic overall senior year, where she collected the 100 win at the outdoor state meet in 11.93 (Wind -2.7) to go along with her 60m triumph at the Indoor State Championship (7.48). 


Hurdles 

Leila Hill will compete in the 100H and 300H races on behalf of Team Ohio. The Northmont grad owns impressive pr's of 14.84 and 43.73.

Distance 

Division 1 State Championship 1600 runner-up (4:48.06), Samantha Bush will test herself in the 800 at Michigan State. Bush will compete for the NC State Wolfpack in XC and track during the 2019 - 2020 seasons.

Relays

800m specialist, Madison Martinez will add considerable depth to Ohio's 4x400 and 4x800 relay teams. The Villanova bound athlete earned a runner-up finish in the 800 at the D1 State Championship with a 2:09.11 clocking. The former Gahanna Lincoln Lady Lion has a wealth of big meet experience that includes trips to New Balance Nationals and the Brooks PR Invitational

   

Throws

Carrollton grad, Alivia Bentley is set for shot put competition this weekend. Her stellar 2019 campaign included eight meet wins and a runner-up placement at the Division 1 State Championship. Bentley owns a personal best mark of 45-11.25. 

Jumps 

Another state champion will represent Ohio in the women's high jump competition. Emilia Lesniak, formerly of Strongsville, cleared 5-9 last weekend at Jesse Owens Stadium to secure the Division 1 victory. Lesniak is set to take her talents to Mississippi State University to embark on what figures to be a fantastic college career.
