Solon senior, Olivia Howell has punctuated her exceptional high school career by earning Ohio's 2019 Track and Field Gatorade Player of the Year award.
The University of Illinois bound Howell captured her third consecutive Division 1 1600 State Championship win on June 1st in Columbus and complemented that feat with a come-from-behind triumph in the 800 later in the afternoon. Her state meet winning marks of 4:45.25 and 2:08.60 stand as Ohio No. 1's for the 2019 outdoor campaign.
