Malachi McGill Discusses Advancing To Regional Meet In 800

Former state champion, Malachi McGill punched his ticket to the AAU Region 4 meet with a solid showing in the 800 contest at the Columbus District Qualifier

McGill, who will be moving from Hilliard Darby to Hilliard Bradley for his senior campaign, secured second place in the 17-18 Division with a 2:13.16 clocking.

While the time is pedestrian for his standards, McGill indicated that his pre-meet goals were to run the 400 hard and then simply do enough to move on in the 800. Following a series of hamstring injuries, his performances on Saturday went completely according to plan.
