Claire Downer made her presence known at the Russell E. Blunt East Coast Invitational in Durham, North Carolina this past weekend by earning victories in the 800, 1500 and high jump events with marks of 2:47.01, 5:50.51 and 4-5, respectively.
All three efforts, which took place in the 9-10 Division, stand as new personal best performances for the Northwest Track Club representative. Downer had previously won the 800, 1500 and high jump competitions at both the USATF Ohio JO Association Championship and the IYTA Midwest Youth Championship earlier this summer.
