Grace Osborn earned the Bengal Division win at the Pickerington North XC Classic with a time of 19:43.90. The Pickerington Central junior made up significant ground over the final 100 meters to edge runner-up, Caitlyn Jones of Hilliard Bradley by less than half a second. Jones clocked 19:44.30.
Osborn wasn't the only Pick Central Tiger to cross the line first on Saturday. Chase Balko established a new personal best time of 16:31.20 on route to the Bengal Division win. Balko indicated post-race that his plan was to go out more conservatively, but he felt strong in the early going and decided to go for it.
