John Carroll had an impressive 2009 season debut by placing third as a team at the Bill Sudeck Invitational, hosted by Case Western Reserve University Saturday at Valleevue Farm in Hunting Valley, Ohio.
Final Results
Baldwin-Wallace (45) edged the host Spartans (46) for the title, with JCU a solid third place with 57 points.
Three Blue Streaks earned top ten finishes, led by freshman
Ashley Aberl (Toledo, OH, Notre Dame)with a time of 19:40.19. Senior
Emily Tillmaand (Xenia, OH, Xenia) was next across in fifth place with a time of 19:46.20. Senior
Tricia Doherty (Chicago, IL, Marist) placed ninth with a mark of 20:04.65.
Megan Lutz (Oil City, PA, Venango Christian) (17th, 20:42.59) and
Kelly Grieve (Toledo, OH, Sylvania Southview) (22nd, 21:01.24) rounded out the scoring runners for John Carroll.
Elaine Simpson of Case Western was the individual race winner at 19:15.65.
