On Saturday in Rochester, New York, Savannah Roark captured the AAA individual race victory and led Beavercreek to second place in the team standings at the 55th Annual McQuaid Invitational. Roark, a senior, produced an excellent time of 16:56.30 on the 3 Mile lay-out at Genesee Valley Park.
Despite competing without some key personnel, including 2018 State Champion Taylor Ewert, Beavercreek put up 71 points for a runner-up finish behind Shenendehowa, who tallied 63 points. Rounding out the team's scoring was Jodie Pierce, Juliann Williams, Kendall Hobbs and Samantha Thomas with times of 17:31.80, 17:33.90, 19:07.90 and 19:43.10, respectively.
