Typically for our weekly 'Throwback' articles we'll review last year's edition of an upcoming weekend meet, but with no high school-based competitions on the docket until the end of the month, we're winding it back just one week to Nike Cross Nationals Midwest, where the team from Beavercreek punched their ticket to NXN due to a second place showing in the Championship Division race.
The Division 1 Ohio State Champs delivered in a big way in Terre Haute, accomplishing their mission of picking up one of the two coveted auto-qualifying spots to Portland. The Beavers, along with the winning squad from Naperville North (IL), now have the opportunity to test themselves against the rest of the country's best on December 7th.
