Flashback: Taylor Ewert Breaks Down Runner-Up Effort At NXN

Flashback: Taking it back to last weekend at Nike Cross Nationals, where Taylor Ewert was apart of one of the most exciting big meet finishes in recent memory.

The Arkansas commit gave the now 3-time winner, Katelyn Tuohy the stiffest test of her title reign by closing hard over the final stretch to finish less than 1 second out of first place. Tuohy's 17:18.40 mark led the way, with Ewert occupying 2nd in 17:19.10 and Wyoming native, Sydney Thorvaldson, who was also heavily in the mix over the thrilling final sequence, stationed in 3rd due to a 17:19.40 clocking.

Following the post-meet festivities, Ewert chatted with MileSplit's Bryan Deibel about her steady progression at the national meets, her preparations which set her up for success on race day, the pride she felt by competing as part of the Beavercreek team, as well her decision making behind the selection of moving on to the Razorbacks next year.
