(4x400m relay action from the 2019 OHSAA Division 3 State Championship meet)
Athletes, coaches, parents and fans have been anxiously awaiting clarification on where matters stand with respect to OHSAA spring sports and their schedules following Governor Mike DeWine's order to close K-12 schools state-wide in response to prevention efforts relating to the spread of coronavirus (Covid19).
Earlier today, OHSAA Executive Director, Jerry Snodgrass provided clarity through an official press release. Practices may resume on April 6th and can run through April 10th with regular season contests permitted to commence on April 11th.
While this plan is likely to come as welcomed news for members of the track and field community, please note that due to the fluid nature of the situation we're dealing with, the dates cited should be considered 'tentative.'
