Retrospective: Zarik Brown Impresses With Wins At Wayne

Under normal circumstances, the team from MileSplit Ohio would be headed to Huber Heights later in the week to go all in on the annual Wayne Invitational. For obvious reasons, however, one of the state's premier meets will be taking a 1 year hiatus, but that doesn't mean we can't look back and celebrate last year's electric two-day affair.

Among the standout performers at the 2019 edition was Wayne's own, Zarik Brown. Brown, now repping the University of Akron Zips, left no doubt who the meet's top sprinter was as he fully capitalized on home track advantage. He took individual triumphs in the 100 and 200 with times of 11.08 and 21.35.

Since his 100m dash title was achieved in less than ideal weather conditions, watch below his prelims effort, where he went 10.73, along with his work in the 200 finals.
