All week leading up to the 1A state championship talk in the 4x100m relay was who would come out victorious. Milledgeville had the top sectional mark at 49.89 just ahead of Bureau Valley's 49.90.
During Thursday's preliminary round, there were five heats in which the winner earned an automatic berth to the finals, St. Joseph-Ogden came out on top with a class-leading 49.41 clocking. However, it was Bureau Valley that would show poise throughout the race and close things out in fine fashion.
