On Tuesday evening the Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches (OATCCC) announced that their upcoming clinic, originally scheduled for January 28th to January 30th, 2021 at the Hilton Hotel in Easton, will be conducted virtually.

"The OATCCC must sadly inform you that we will not be having an in-person clinic this January," clinic director, Wayne Clark said to the association's members.

"We need not explain to you all of the issues we are dealing with, as you are all dealing with the same issues within your schools and programs," said Clark.

"The good news is we are in the process of putting together the best virtual meet in the USA," Clark concluded.

According to the OATCCC's leadership group, details on the virtual clinic will be available soon. When the plan has been clarified, we will publish an update which contains all of the details.

The next in-person OATCCC Clinic is now scheduled for January 27th to January 29th, 2022 in Columbus.

MileSplit reached out to OATCCC President, Doug Joy for his reaction.

"Unfortunately the 2021 clinic had to be canceled due to Covid-19 related concerns, but we look forward to the 2022 clinic," said Joy.

"We still encourage our coaches to access the 2021 virtual clinic, which will include many big-name coaches, who will be providing top-notch education," Joy indicated.
