Usually at Lehigh University, the Suburban One League Championships moved to some different locations this season with Lehigh's course closed for the fall amid the pandemic. PennTrackXC took a trip to Souderton on Friday morning for the SOL Colonial Division Championships.
The boys race came first with Pennridge's Diego Lera-Lozano earning a runaway win in 16:09. It was the first non-dual meet of the season for the senior, who was 21st at states last year. The North Penn boys edged out Central Bucks West 41-44 for the team title.
On the girls' side, Ashley Gordon completed the individual sweep for Pennridge. The Rams senior made a decisive move around the mile mark and quickly extended her lead from there to win in 18:53, a 27-second margin of victory. Central Bucks West won yet another league title -- its fourth straight -- with 41 points, while Pennridge was second.
The top two teams for girls and boys advance to next week's PIAA District 1 Championships, set for Tyler State Park. The next 5 individuals on non-qualifying teams also make the district meet.
