Reynoldsburg Raiders teammates, Seth Davis and Marsellis Davis occupied the top two spots in the Section 1 1600m standings at Mount Vernon's Jackets Holiday Indoor meet.
The Davis' (no relation) crossed the line with times of 4:49.59 (Seth) and 4:50.32 (Marsellis) to edge 3rd place finisher, Saketh Rudraraju from Olentangy Orange. Rudraraju, a freshman, put forth a high quality 4:52.56 effort for his high school debut at the distance.
When the event officially concluded, following the running of the Section 2 contest, the Davis' marks would stand as number one and three overall. Section 2 winner, George Burczak from Granville was declared the runner-up due to his 4:50.24 performance.
