NEW ORLEANS - The University of Toledo women's cross country team remained in the Great Lakes Region rankings for a fifth-consecutive week, as the team sits sixth in the region, according to the latest USTFCCCA poll.

The Rockets slipped two spots from the No. 4 position they held after dominating the field at the Colonial Inter-Regional Challenge Sept. 26 in Williamsburg, VA. Toledo dropped behind Big Ten members Ohio State and Indiana, but remained the highest MAC team in the poll, ahead of No. 10 Miami, No. 11 Akron and No. 15 Central Michigan.

This past weekend, Toledo placed 16th out of 37 teams at the highly competitive Pre-Nationals Invitational, which marked the third-best finish in program history at the event. The Rockets race at 4 p.m. Friday at the Eastern Michigan Open in Ypsilanti, MI.
