US#1 Henry Jackson WA pounds top Oregon teams at the Concordia/ Puma XC Classic with another 20 second 1-5 spread; then dominated Conference Championships with a 16:04 5K average and a perfect 15 team points. It would seem Jackson is destined for a state meet collision with US#9 Ferris. US#9 Ferris WA & US#10 North Central WA have waged a two-week war in which they have been separated by a combined 3 points over the two meets. US#2 Royal is one meet away from the California sweep as they add a Mt SAC team championship to a resume which includes Stanford and Clovis victories, next stop CIF. Finally healthy, US#15 Tatnall DE breaks back into the rankings with sights set squarely on a NXN Southeast repeat. After the conclusion of the California supermeet Mt SAC Invitational Great Oak CA jumps to #9 with a defeat of US#11 Torrey Pines while Mira Costa CA makes their debut at #6 as the three teams fell to US#2 Saugus CA.

Finally getting healthy, the ’08 National #3 claimed victory at the Joe O’Neill Inv with an 18:32 5K average scoring 24 points. More impressively was the 22 second 2-5 spread. It would seem Tatnall is back! |
