Official coaching and team training for the 2021 OHSAA cross country season got underway on Sunday, August 1st. Many teams from throughout the state elected to get started right away, while others opted to kick-off their formal preparations on Monday morning.

Athletes and coaches alike still have a few weeks to refine their fitness and preparations in advance of the August 23rd season start date. Note that the annual Early Season Invitational is scheduled for two days prior (August 21st) on the grounds of the state meet course at Fortress Obetz.

See below a compilation of some of the sights from the early days of practices, as well as the closing period of summer-based team camps.
