Full Meet Recap

Just two weeks removed from their OHSAA Division II state title winning effort, the Dukes hoisted more championship hardware on Saturday in Lubbock, Texas.

Competing as the Marlington XC Club, due to the postseason nature of the event, the Alliance-based squad made the long trip down to the Lone Star state a victorious one by securing team gold at the Small School XC Nationals, a meet reserved for schools consisting of less than 1000 students.

Marlington produced a 53 point total to withstand a tough challenge from the runner-up entry Classical Academy (CO), who finished with 62 points.

As they have been all season long, Marlington was led by senior Noah Graham, who placed second individually in 16:00.19. Colin Cernansky and Nash Minor also took top 10 finishes (scoring at places 7 and 8). Cernansky, a sophomore, crossed the line 9th in 16:37.22 and the junior classman Minor was one spot behind in 10th with his 16:37.76 showing.

Cohen Boyce and Liam Blake rounded out the group's scoring by placing 20th and 22nd in the overall standings with times of 16:50.44 and 16:52.89, respectively.
