Adayeleise Trumpower Talks 1500m Win At AAU Junior Olympics

Adayaleise Trumpower added to Ohio's gold medal haul on Thursday at the AAU Junior Olympic Games by collecting first place honors in the 1500 meter race within the 10 Year-Old Division. 

Trumpower, a Mansfield native, went wire-to-wire and won the contest by a decisive 23-second margin. She threatened the all-time AAU record for her age-category with her official mark of 4:56.62, finishing just over 2-seconds off the existing standard of 4:54.59. 

Throughout the course of the summer season, Trumpower has continued to display steady progression. She went 5:08.49 at District Lake Erie and then 5:02.51 at the Region 4 Qualifier
