The past few days in Austin, Texas have been quite electric with the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships going on, and many Ohio natives are representing well.
In the women's 1500m semifinals on Thursday, 2019 Solon graduate, now representing the University of Illinois, Olivia Howell talks about her race and gives insight on how she thinks the finals will go on Saturday.
During the semifinals, Howell was a part of the small pack in her heat that took the Top-5 spots to automatically qualify for the finals; this ended up being her best performance this season as well.
Given that she has had quite a year, main highlight currently being a national title during the Mile at the NCAA Division 1 Indoor Championships, it would be quite a showing if she ends up taking the title outdoors as well for the 1500m.
