The Stars Come Out at OATCCC Division 1 Championships

Atkinson and Kiefer Shine in the 800m

---

It was a speedy girl 800m, but two girls stood above the rest of the field in Natalie Kiefer and Kayla Atkinson. Kiefer held on for the win with a time of 2:10.83, just barely ahead of Atkinson who ran a time of 2:10.86. Kiefer ran a huge PR in the meet, beating her old lifetime 800m PR of 2:13.97 from just two weeks earlier.

Both girls beat the previous state meet record of 2:11.69 by Gia Napoleon back in 2019.
