With the US Olympic Trials set to take place over the next 9 days, many athletes have made the trip to the historic Hayward Field at the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon, to try and punch their tickets to the Olympic Games in Paris later this summer.

Along with that, a handful of collegiate athletes have been slowly announcing their decision to compete professionally and will be representing their respective sponsor over the next week onwards. McKenzie Long (Pick. Central 2018) was one of those individuals who were given the opportunity to compete post-collegiately, as a professional, as it was announced on social media that she had signed with adidas earlier today.

Long, who had made countless appearances at the state championships throughout high school along with having a few titles to her name, has had a series of breakout seasons at the college level since she began representing the Rebels of Ole Miss (previously at NC State University) dating back to January 2023.

Notably, this recent outdoor season, she ended her final college season on a high note, putting up some of the fastest times ever in the NCAA along with taking home three national championship titles at that NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships, where she won the 100m Dash, 200m Dash, and was a part of the winning 4x100m Relay.

She is set to compete in the 100m and 200m at the US Olympic Trials.
