Ohio Future Stars: Nathaniel Gockerman

For this week's edition of Ohio Future Stars, we took a look at an athlete who has been putting up consistently high finishes so far this season along with notching his first win this fall just a few days ago.

Nathaniel Gockerman of Cin. CHCA

Most recently, the sophomore based out of Southwest Ohio took his first victory of this season at the CHCA Fall Classic on Tuesday, where he clocked a time of 15:47.50, which was the only sub-16 performance of the day along with leading his team to both a 1-2-3 finish and a win on home turf.

Reflecting back on the season so far and the 2023 season, he has shown notable improvement through his consistency, clocking under 16-minutes for almost every competition since his season opener of 15:39.30 in August at the Buckeye Running Sunset Invitational.

Gockerman is no stranger to big competitions, as he has toed the line at some of the biggest meets in the state this fall including Tiffin Cross Country Carnival and Troy Twilight Invite.

With the state slowly entering the post-season competitions, he will be one to look out for as he is currently OH #6 for Division II and OH #2 in terms of the sophomore class for that division.
